Last night after Savasana Loretta said: "It's so cozy in here. I don't want to leave."
Yeah, I'm all about cozy now, aren't you? Socks, soup, and stretching. November is that month when the blue skies of October fade to gun-metal gray, with no snow (yet) to brighten things up. I don't know about you, but I want my yoga practice to be a little softer now, a little more subtle. I need more Nadi Shodana, less Kapalabhati, if you catch my drift.
So the new offerings for November are softer: 4 weeks of Slo-Flo-Yo on Tuesday nights, and 6 weeks of Yoga Stretch on Thursdays. Read below for the details and how to register.
Come get cozy in November. Hope to see you soon.
Mondays In November Power Hour
(Nov. 4, 11, 18, 25) 5:30 - 6:30
An up-tempo vinyasa flow that will get you super-toasty and un-kinked in the space of an hour. Savasana never felt so good after this class. For intermediate students and up.
Tuesdays in November
Slow Flow Yoga (aka “Slo-Flo-Yo”)
(Nov. 5, 12, 19, 26)
5:30 - 6:30
If Power Yoga is “up tempo,” Slow Flow is more like moving through warm, silky water. We flow, yes, but the pace is mindful and careful. Plenty of time to drag that pesky back foot through into runner’s lunge, for example. Plenty of time to really set up that perfect Warrior 2. If you like to flow but find the pace of Power a bit exhausting, try Slow-Flo-Yo. It’s nice.
5:30 - 6:30
Shelly and I will be taking turns on Wednesdays in November.
Thursdays in November
(Nov. 7, 14, 21, Dec. 5, 12, 19)
5:30 - 6:30
This class is designed to de-tangle your knots and systematically unlock the tension from your back, shoulders and hips. Head-to-toe stretching to un-clench, un-kink and rejuventate. Every time I ask my class if they have any requests, they always say: Let’s Stretch! All righty, then. Here you go, people. This is also a great place for new-to-yoga people to start.
Fridays Happy Hour
4:30 - 5:30
FOOD DRIVE CLASS The annual Food Drive to benefit the Mansfield Area Food Pantry witll be held at the Happy Hour Class on November 15th. Class is free with a non-perishable food item or cash donation. You can bring food in any time during the month of November. Peanut butter, tuna, soups, muffin mix, coffee, Thanksgiving food (cranberries, stuffing mix, etc) are all welcome. Cheryl Hein-Walters will be playing the harp for savasana in this class. Not to be missed!
THE STUDIO WILL BE CLOSED FOR THANKSGIVING NOVEMBER 27 - 30
