Fall and Winter are made for yoga, don't you think?

The days are short and getting colder. 
It's time to fold up the deck chairs and go inside. 
Your yoga practice supports this interiority. Yoga says: Close your eyes. Dive deeply into your muscles, your bones, your mind. And let us see, as Camus said, if in the middle of winter, w can find within ourselves that invincible summer. 

This month I am running a 5-week Intro to Yoga session. I only run this twice a year, so if you know of anyone who may be interested, would you share this newsletter with them? Thank you!

The other special class in October is the Meditative Posture Flow session on Tuesdays. A perfect way to transition from the outer world to the inner world as we head into fall.

The Power Hour is a standing class on Monday nights, with a loyal following, but I need to see a show of hands among the "regulars" just so I can know if there is room to let new people into that class. Intro to Yoga
When: Thursdays in October (October 3, 10, 17, 24, 31.)
Time: 5:30 - 6:30 PM
Cost: $50
Learn basic postures, breathing techniques and meditation. Learn how to customize postures to your own flexibility level. No prior experience with yoga necessary. You do not have to be fit or flexible to learn and benefit from this class. This is a perfect place to start what will hopefully become a lifelong practice!

Meditative Posture Flow
When: Tuesdays in October (October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29)
Time: 5:30 - 6:30 PM
Cost: $50/Flex
In this class we will drill down deep into postures to discover their true gold. There will be plenty of time between postures to rest and feel them echo throughout the body. This is an "eyes closed" practice that will end with 10 minutes of seated meditation. This class will not just transform your mood; it will change you on a cellular level. Good for all but raw beginners.

Power Hour
When: Mondays in October (October 7, 14, 21, 28
Time: 5:30 - 6:30 PM
Cost: $40/Flex
This is an up-tempo Vinyasa Flow Power Yoga class for the experienced student who likes keep moving. This class builds endurance, strength and flexibility. If you don't mind sweating a bit, this is your class. 

Wednesday All-Levels Drop-In
When: Wednesdays in October (October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30.)
Time: 5:30 - 6:30 PM
Cost: Drop-in rate or Flex
Shelly and I will be splitting up Wednesdays this month. She will be teaching Oct 2, 23 & 30. I will be teaching Oct. 9 & 16. 

Happy Hour Yoga
When: Every Friday
Time: 4:30 - 5:30 PM
Cost: Drop-in rate or Flex
The loudest, most raucous, most fun class on the schedule. (Also the sweetest.)
