The Elite Yoga Challenge Winners announced
New Classes
Studio closed dates
Hi Everyone,
As I write there are 3 days left in the Elite Yoga Challenge. Ten people committed to 30 consecutive days of yoga and I am happy to announce that barring some unseen catastrophe, all 10 will complete the EYC on Wednesday night. This year's winners are:

This involved Saturdays, Sundays, Easter. This involved overcoming lethargy, soreness, allergies, deadlines, hangovers, sick dogs and just plain "I don't wanna." Bravo to them! I had a great time with this Tribe of Ten. I hope we can do it next year and add to our ranks!

Speaking of 10, the studio turned 10 this year! (Yeah, how did THAT happen?) So many people have spread their mats on that floor in the past ten years. So many people have stretched and breathed and laughed and OM-ed, and been OM-ed in that room. Some people are still doing it, and others moved on to other things or other places. But every being who has ever breathed in that room has left their energy there and we all feed off it every single day. 

On Wednesday night, April 30th, starting at 8 PM there will be an Open House with wine and beer and snacks. I invite everyone who has ever practiced at MSY and their friends and families to stop up and just say "Hi" and let me give you a hug and thank you. You are the warmest and most gracious people in my life and I would truly love to see you if you can make it. That's this Wednesday at 8 PM.

Here is the line-up for May and June:

Mondays 5:30 - 6:30 PM
Power Hour
3 weeks for $30 or use your flex
May 5, 12, and 19 
You must sign up. This class fills!
Power Vinyasa Flow: Breathy, Stretchy, and Sweaty. Not for beginners.

Tuesday 5:30 - 6:30 PM
Yoga Basics - 6 weeks/$60 or Flex
May 4, 13, 20, June 3, 10 and 17
This is designed for the beginner, or for people who need a refresher. In a "class" rather than a "workshop" format you will learn the main standing, seated, on your back and on your belly postures as well as the 4 main breathing techniques. You will also learn how to use props to tweak all the postures for your particular body. This is a very fun class! Perfect for beginners!

Wednesday 5:30 - 6:30 PM
All Levels - Drop in.
No need to register. Just come!

Thursday 5:30 - 6:30 PM
Detox Yoga  - 4 Weeks/$40 or Flex
May 1, 8, 15, & 29
Spring is the time when a lot of us are doing cleanses, or just cleaning up our diets. Support your new healthy eating with a cleansing, detoxifying yoga practice. This practice will involve intense breathing, sweating and twisting--the 3 main ways the body detoxifies. This is a class suitable for all levels.

Get your weekend off to a great start in this end-of-the workweek stress-busting class!

Studio Closed Dates
The studio will be closed from May 22 to the 27th while I fly to Oregon to see my new grandson! (so excited!!!!)

The studio is closed Thursdays in the summer, starting in June and will resume Thursday classes in September.
