Hi Yogarians, 

This is a picture of Holi, the Hindu festival of colors. I comes right before the vernal equinox and celebrates the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring and the end of winter.

People celebrate by pelting each other with colored dry powder and they do some serious partying.


So to celebrate spring, I thought it would be fun to bring out the balls. So on Wednesdays in March it’s Yoga on the Ball.


Yoga on the Ball is ridiculously fun. And ridiculously HARD. You must use your core or else you'll butt or face plant. I never have to say, "engage your core" in this class, because if you don't, you're on the floor. Simple as that. (But don't worry. I'll show you tricks to maintain your balance on the ball no matter what.) 


I think the reason I stopped doing this class was because I used to be a lot more reverent about yoga than I am now, and the balls made the studio look like a circus. And they stunk. And sometimes they made rude fart noises.


But I'm not that reverent about yoga any more. So let's get crazy.


If you're up for a new challenge, you should definitely try this. I'm limiting enrollment to 12. Let me know soon.

Wednesdays in March - 5 Weeks

On Thursdays I'm doing a short but Intense Core/Focus Workout

45 minutes total.

Here's the breakdown: 

20 minutes of an intense core sequence

5 minutes of cool-down

10 minutes of seated meditation

5 minute savasana

5 minutes to pack up and go. Namaste.


This is the shortest, most focused, most efficient class I've ever taught.

It has 2 main goals: 

One, build your core power and two, increase your mental focus.

5 Weeks of this and you will know every inch of your abdominal wall intimately, plus you'll firm up your flabby, distracted brain. And, here'e the deal, if you take Yoga on the Ball and this one together, this class is only $30 instead of $50.

Okay, one last thing: April Yoga Challenge. It's happening, and you can register for it NOW if you want (but you have until Monday, March 28th.) Yoga every day. 5:30 (maybe 7PM too, possibly a 6 or a 6:30 AM depending on the needs of the people who sign up). Saturday at 10 AM, Sunday at 11 AM. $30 for the whole month, plus reserved seating all month (no need to set up your mat each day, it will be there waiting for you.) Plus other little goodies. There’s only one rule. YOU MUST COME EVERY DAY. As soon as you miss, you're out, and have to start paying for every class again.

Think about it... It would make a great "Project" if you need one for your "Project-Driven Life."
