Descriptions of Classes

 Power Yoga

Power Yoga is vinyasa flow yoga. It’s an uptempo class with lots of Suns and Sun variations. If you love Suns and moving and flowing, and you don’t mind sweating a bit, you’ll like this class.

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga doesn’t have a tempo. It’s a thoughtfully designed posture sequence with lots of time for transitions and a generous use of props. Perfect for beginners.

Core Yoga

Core Yoga focuses on postures and movements that strengthen the abs, the back, and the sides. Core Yoga is the mindful repetition of simple, targeted exercises. This yoga might look to the naked eye like an exercise class. But it is the focus, the slowness, and the unwavering attention to the breath that transforms this practice into yoga.

If you ask me, Core Yoga is where the real yoga adventure begins.

Happy Hour Yoga

Happy Hour Yoga is a Friday afternoon tradition at MSY.
Happy Hour Yoga begins an hour earlier than the other classes. We start at 4:30 PM. This is the class where you dump your stress so you can enter your weekend feeling calm, kind, and connected.

It’s an all-level class suitable for anyone with even the slightest idea of what yoga is about.

If you know what a Downward Dog is, you’re good.
