How I Teach
I don’t teach any particular style of yoga.
I like to mix it up.
Sometimes I like vinyasa yoga, where the poses are linked into a flow.
Sometimes I like the long, passive holds of yin yoga.
Sometimes I like to hold a difficult pose for a long time-- Tantric Hatha Yoga-style, to build strength and resilience.
Sometimes I like to build a pose brick by brick, aiming for architectural precision.
Sometimes I like to fuss with alignment and use lots of props.
Sometimes I don’t care about any of that stuff and simply focus on how a pose feels in my body.
When I design classes for you, I often think seasonally.
I’m a big fan of Ayurveda. (I can predict a person’s dosha with astonishing accuracy! You should try me!)
Weather is also an important factor when I plan classes for you because weather plays such a big role in how you feel, in your body, and your mind.
But always, my deepest wish is that you leave my class feeling calm, kind, and connected.
